Spacial's paused again for some time, working on an advance wars clone at the moment, because my laptop broke down. Eon's a web-based turn-based strategy game ( screenshot ) This game's near completion already, and after it's done I should be able to work on spacial again (don't worry, I've got backups =p)

I tried out the Populous 3 editor (which is using a sperical world as well), and I decided to imitate their editor gui a bit. I'm now adding a couple of modi to the world-editor, large-scale editing (select a part of the world, and raise/lower that), and small-scale editing (holding your mousebutton down will raise the highlighted tile). After you're done with the heightmap of the world, you can export it to JPEG files, then edit those, and use the edited files as textures. This means if you want some kind of road, you just draw it on the texture with an external editor!. I do this because the huge scale of the textures (32768x32768, divided in a  lot of smaller pictures), and because an external graphics editor just has much more features (layers etc).

I now started working on the Spacial Outdoor engine. This engine will be quite complex, due to the facts that planets will actually be round :) I've got a basic world shown now, and I"m now working on a better camera, and something to actually "paint" on the planet. Check out the screenshots-section for more some screenshots
